“Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” Lecturer: Brad Wilkinson

This lecture will address aspects of “post-humanism” found within Philip K. Dick’s novel, “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” In particular, Brad will examine how Dick’s depiction of human/android relations blurs the distinction between humans and machines. This lecture is a presentation of Brad’s undergrad thesis.

Brad Wilkinson Instructor Bio:
Brad Wilkinson holds an Undergraduate Degree with Honours in English Literature from Acadia University in Nova Scotia. For the past two years he has been working in coffee shops in Calgary and Victoria, and now works at Discovery Coffee. When not making coffee, he habitually buys houseplants and tries to propagate them, anticipating the beginning of the vegetable-growing season.
