“The Limits of Unlimited Growth”

Admission is $4 for Wayward School members ($8 non-members)

Capitalism is organized around constant economic expansion. And yet planetary resources are limited. Climate change represents a particularly profound breaching of ecological limits (mainly the carbon saturation point of our atmosphere). Can capitalism be reconciled with ecosystem health? If not, then what does this bode for the future?

James RoweLecturer Bio:

Dr. James Rowe is Senior Instructor in the School of Environmental Studies at the University of Victoria. He also serves as co-chair for the board of directors of the Victoria Street Newz.
