Shotokan in the Park: karate-do skillshare

Day/Time: Sundays throughout the summer,  7:00-8:00 pm (weather permitting! any rainfall after 12:00 noon and the session is cancelled since the grass might be slippery)

Location: Beacon Hill Park, near Simcoe and Douglas Street by the fountain just up from the watering can

Improve your strength, flexibility, balance and awareness under the beautiful Douglas-fir trees in Beacon Hill Park. Meditation, breathing, core strength, distance and timing drills are all part of this modern style of Karate-Do. Learn the basics, such as kata, concepts of distance and timing. Sessions are designed to convey the fundamentals of Shotokan Karate-Do practice, but all levels and styles are welcome. 

Throw on some comfortable clothing and come over to the park. This is a great introduction to the art of Shotokan Karate-Do!

Timothy Trebilcock lives in James Bay and has been practising Shotokan Karate for 14 years. He is a Coach In Training with the NCCP and trains regularly with ShotoCanada.
